Settings menu

Every item in Dashboard → Settings explained — account, workspace, branding, team, SSO, developers and integrations — with what each does and how to set it up.

Where to find it

Open the dashboard and click Settings in the left menu. The Settings screen has its own sub-menu split into three groups: User settings (your personal account), Workspace settings (the whole workspace), and More (branding, team, SSO, audit log, developers, integrations). Each item below matches one entry in that sub-menu.

Account profile

Your personal display name and email. Change your Full name and click Save profile. Your email address is shown with a Verified badge and cannot be changed here (it's your login identity).

  • Full name — appears in the dashboard and on team member lists
  • Email — read-only; contact support if it must change
  • Save profile updates your name everywhere instantly

Google account

Link a Google account for one-click sign-in. If your account was created with email + password it shows 'Not connected' with a Connect Google button; click it and authorize to link. Once linked it shows 'Connected as <email>'. To unlink a Google-only account, contact support (so you don't lock yourself out).

💡Linking Google and having a password are independent — you can have both. Adding a password to a Google-only account is done from the Password tab.

Password

Change your account password. Enter your current password and a new one (minimum 8 characters), then Change password. If you signed up with Google and have no password yet, this tab shows 'Add password login' so you can also sign in with email.

  • Current password + New password (min 8 chars) → Change password
  • Google-only accounts: use 'Add password login' to set one

Authenticator app (2FA)

Add two-factor authentication with any TOTP app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password). Scan the QR code (or paste the secret), enter the 6-digit code to verify, and 2FA is enabled. From then on login asks for a code after your password. You can disable it from the same tab (re-entering a code).

  • Scan the QR with your authenticator app
  • Enter the 6-digit code to confirm and enable
  • Save your backup/recovery info somewhere safe
  • Disable anytime by verifying a current code

Active sessions

See where you're currently signed in. Use 'Log out all other sessions' to end every session except the one you're using — do this if you suspect someone else has access or after using a shared computer.

Workspace profile

The workspace is the container for your chatbots, team, billing and settings. Here you set the workspace Name and Slug, and see Your role (Owner). The slug is the short identifier used in workspace URLs.

💡Multi-workspace switching and saved workspace-profile edits are rolling out — the owner role and workspace scoping are already live everywhere.

Create workspace

Spin up a separate workspace for a different brand, client, or business unit. Each workspace has its own chatbots, team members, billing and settings, and you switch between them instantly from the workspace menu at the top-left.

💡Currently in preview — contact us if you need multiple workspaces enabled on your account today.

Delete workspace

Permanently deletes the workspace and everything in it — chatbots, knowledge bases, conversations and leads. To prevent accidents you must type the exact workspace name to enable the Delete button. This cannot be undone. Owner only.

💡Export anything you need (Contacts CSV, conversation transcripts) before deleting.

Branding

White-label the emails and touch-points your customers see. Set your Brand name, Support URL, Primary and Accent colors, and the Email display name + Sender email used on transactional mail. You can also upload a Logo (PNG/JPG/WebP, up to 2 MB) and add Custom domains.

  • Brand name + Support URL — shown in emails and help links
  • Primary / Accent color — themes branded emails and pages
  • Email display name + Sender email — the From on outgoing mail (falls back to the global sender until verified)
  • Logo upload — your mark on branded surfaces
  • Custom domains — serve the widget/pages from your own hostname
💡Custom domains: add your hostname, publish the shown TXT and CNAME DNS records, then click Verify. Sender email shows 'global fallback' until your domain/sender is verified.

Team settings

Invite teammates and control what they can do. Enter an email, pick a role, and send the invite; they get an email to join your workspace. You can change a member's role or remove them anytime. This is fully live.

  • Admin — everything except billing and deleting the workspace
  • Agent — Inbox, conversations and contacts only (handle chats + leads)
  • Viewer — read-only: analytics and inbox view
💡Roles are enforced server-side: viewers cannot change conversation status, forward chats, export contacts, or edit settings. See Team and roles for the full breakdown.

SSO (SAML)

Enterprise single sign-on via SAML 2.0. AskGPT gives you the Service Provider URLs to paste into your identity provider (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, OneLogin): a Metadata URL, an ACS URL, and a Login URL. Then enter your IdP details and save.

  • Copy the Metadata / ACS / Login URLs into your IdP
  • Enter IdP entity ID, SSO URL, and X.509 signing certificate
  • Set Allowed email domains and a Default workspace role for new SSO users
💡SSO is an Enterprise feature — contact sales to enable it for your workspace.

Audit log

A searchable record of actions taken in your workspace — who did what and when. Filter by search text, action, target, user ID, and date range to investigate changes or meet compliance needs.

💡Available on Enterprise plans.

Developers

Generate a personal REST API key to call the AskGPT API from your own code or automations. The full key is shown only once at creation — copy and store it securely. You can revoke it anytime (which immediately invalidates it) and generate a new one.

  • Generate key → copy it immediately (shown once)
  • Send it as a Bearer token to authenticate API requests
  • Revoke to instantly kill a leaked or unused key
💡See Developer integrations for endpoints and examples. For server-to-server content sync from Odoo, use the bot-scoped API key on the chatbot's Embed tab instead.

Integrations (CRM sync)

Connect external CRMs so captured leads sync automatically as contacts. Connections are workspace-scoped. Enter the CRM's API base/instance URL and an API token, then Connect; tokens are stored encrypted. Disconnect removes the link.

  • Pipedrive — syncs new leads to Pipedrive people via a workspace API token
  • Salesforce — syncs new leads to Salesforce Lead records via an access token
💡Odoo is integrated differently — install the AskGPT Odoo module (see the Odoo guide) which pushes leads to Odoo CRM and can answer live ERP questions. Pipedrive/Salesforce connectors are in preview.
